Magnolia, Gummiapan and Roxstamps, Hello Notecard by Hellen

Hello ! This is me waving and saying hello with some stamps and dies from Swedish HouseCrafts (SHC) as a new member of a brand new design team! It’s been an exciting time planning the launch with the whole team led by Suha, the owner. I’ve learnt things I didn’t know I needed lol – technology I’ve never used before, affiliation linking …………. oh lawdy how my head has been spinning !

If you love Magnolia, SHC often do some great deals and discounts on their regular releases.

If you’re not a Magnolia fan why not take a look at Gummiapan and Roxstamps stamps and dies on the web site? Great designs and great low prices, a very easy way to build up a collection quickly with prices like these. SHC also stock many other products such as Pion and Maja Design papers, well worth popping over and taking a look – there’s a SHC banner in the sidebar on my blog to go straight there.

I’ve been very busy making lots of cards, tags and gift boxes - they’re addictive I warn you ! The above 6 x 6  ‘hello’ card was made using the products listed below, simply click the link to go to the item in the shop.

Stamped and then coloured with my pens ( I use Memento Black Onyx ink for alcohol pen work) and matted and layered with black and white card, a touch of glossy accent on the snail’s shell and a bit of decoupage on the sweet little tulips.
So I hope you’ll put your feet up, grab a cuppa and take a look through the shop pages to see all the goodies there. Don't forget to check out the PROMOS tab while you're in the shop to check out any discounts available !

I’ve got a fab shabby chic tag for you next time made using Gummiapan stamps and dies hope to see you then – Hellen x

Mo Manning - Eva

Hi - happy Thursday, I know it's a Thursday because it's time for my Mo Manning card for this week !

Such a little sweetie called Eva, it comes with a sentiment as well but I chose to make an A6 size card after printing the image and sentiment out, which wouldn't then fit without resizing and printing so I'll save that for another day. Besides I thought Eva was getting all dressed up to celebrate a 'Special Day' so I went with that.

Printed off and coloured with my Copics I popped her on a doily die cut from the same paper I used to make the background panel, a die cut sentiment and just a few sequins and gems.

Lots going on at Mo's place at the moment, with no Challenge or Blop Hop any more Mo  has created a fabulous new page on Facebook called Mo's Digital Pencil Challenges . Great fun with Mo putting on mini challenges and prizes so why not take a look?

Click HERE to take you to Mo's Digital Shop and see Eva - you'll love her I'm sure.

Mo Manning - Challenge for May 2017

Hello - well who can believe it's May already! April flew by with for me a little holiday with my sister Sue to celebrate her birthday followed the week after by my own. Time to sit and catch up now.

I decided it was time for me to look into Mo's png images, especially designed to be adaptable and for merging images together. There's a great video by Mo on Youtube which goes through the process step by step - trust me - if I can do it so can you ! Grab a cuppa and see for yourself how easy it is.

So my card is made up of Morgan Doll and Morgan Soccer all merged together, printed and then coloured with my pens to make this sweet little football boy. A few star and banner dies and voila done!

It;s the start of a new month's challenge for Mo's DP2 Challenge so why not pop over and take a look, you've got to be in it to win it so check out the rest of the team's inspiration and join in.

Hope you're having a lovely May, I'll have some news to share soon about what else I've been up to so I'll catch up with you later.

April Workshop

Hi - happy Monday !

Just a quick post to show my card design for my next workshop this Saturday the 29th.

It's a good exercise on how different colours make a difference - 'Blue Moon' is quite monotone and 'Dawn' is made using more colours. Both cards were made using HobbyArt's Dandelion Wishes.

I so look forward to these workshops - lots of fun, laughter and crafting!

Catch up!

Well I have been a bit remiss lately with my blogging so thought I'd do a catch up of some of the things we've been making at my monthly workshops along with Martine. We've been  having great fun with each day full of laughs and chat along with some crafting! The next ones are on the 19th March and 29th April - really look forward to doing these, always lovely to see people who haven't tried things before because they've felt they can't do something suddenly say 'I can do this!' .

Image may contain: 1 person, sitting and indoorImage may contain: one or more people and screen

In January we played with watercolours and HobbyArt stamps 'Irises' The brown one was made by painting with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, the others with Kuretake Clean Colour pens.

February's was a bit more complicated but worth the extra effort ! I was inspired from attending Jenny Mayes workshop last year to make this one using HobbyArt Spring Scenes stamps this time with the Kuretake pens to colour.

Image may contain: 7 people, people smiling, people sitting and indoor

Here are some of the ladies having fun with some Christmas designs we did in December.
If any one is interested in coming to one of our workshops please contact me through my blog or pm me on Facebook. We sometimes have a few places spare so it's always worth checking.

Well that'll do for now, hope you've enjoyed looking through the photos and hope to see you soon !

Mo Manning Challenge - March 2017

Hi - March already and spring flowers bursting through everywhere! Lurve spring - fingers crossed we don't get any late snow this year.

So here's my design for this months Mo Manning Challenge - which is as usual Anything Goes (with a Mo image)..............

Don't you just love the look on this little boys face! Made me laugh - it's like a real OOOPS moment isn't it.

I used Mo's 'Going Up Boy' from her digital shop, coloured with Copics and the background is just simple dye ink blending with some cloud die cuts and sentiment.

So why not pop over the Mo's DP2 Challenge Page, take a look at the inspiration from the Dream Team and then have a go yourself for a chance of winning a prize to spend at Mo's.

Have fun !
